This behemoth of a mountain is the best hike within a 3 hour drive of Washington DC. With a summit elevation of 3,291 feet, the 9-mile circuit hike is full of beautiful scenery that overlooks the Blue Ridge Mountains along the Shenandoah National Park. You begin the hike with a few miles of elevated switchbacks offering great views of the surrounding counties, and just when you think its over...BOOM, MASSIVE ROCK SCRAMBLE–AWESOME!! This is one spot where you really do feel one with nature...WCBB?
